The year-by-year table
Last updated September 20, 2026
Every line item for every age of the plan — income, withdrawals, tax, balances — for one simulated path at a time.
The toggle picks which path you are reading: conservative, median or optimistic. Each is a real run from the 5,000, not a smoothed average, so switching between them shows how differently one plan behaves under different market luck.
It covers the whole plan, not just retirement, so you can follow a balance from today through to the end.
A year where the balance reaches zero is a depleted year. Everything after it in that path runs on guaranteed income alone — Social Security, a pension, anything else that keeps arriving. Seeing one in the conservative path is common. Seeing one in the median path is the plan telling you something.
