Affiliate terms

These terms are between Northstar Digital LLC, which operates MangoDime (“MangoDime”), and you, an approved affiliate. They apply from the day we approve your application. Our Terms apply to your own use of the product.
1. What you are paid
For each new customer who buys a MangoDime Plus subscription after arriving through your link, you are paid 20% of the first-year amount they paid. A customer who uses your $20 discount pays $80 at the current price, so the commission is $16; on a full $100 year it is $20. Renewals are not paid a commission.
2. What your readers get
Your link gives a new customer $20 off their first year. The free estimate and the full plan are free to them whether or not they subscribe.
3. What counts as yours
- The customer opens your link, creates a new MangoDime account within 90 days, and has never had a Plus subscription.
- If they open more than one referral or affiliate link, the most recent link opened wins.
- A purchase made without arriving through your link is not credited to you.
- Your own subscription, and your household's, do not count.
4. When and how you are paid
- A commission is pending for 30 days after the customer's payment.
- On the first of each month you receive a statement of the commissions that passed their 30 days in the month before.
- Payment is sent by PayPal within 30 days of the end of that month.
- A statement under $50 is not paid; its balance carries to the next month.
- We need a completed Form W-9 from you before the first payment. The program is open to affiliates in the United States.
5. Refunds and disputes
- If a customer is refunded within 30 days of paying, the commission on that sale is not issued.
- After 30 days, a refund does not affect your commission.
- If a customer disputes their payment with their card issuer at any time, the commission is reversed. If it has already been paid, it is deducted from a later statement.
6. What you may say
You may describe what MangoDime does and share your own experience of it. You may not say or imply that MangoDime gives investment, tax, or legal advice, that it tells anybody what to do, or that it guarantees any result. MangoDime is planning software, and its results are estimates.
7. Disclosure
Wherever you share your link or write about MangoDime, say clearly that you are paid a commission, in a place a reader will see before they act on it. This is a condition of the program. We supply a line you can use.
8. What is not allowed
- Bidding on “MangoDime” or close variations in paid advertising.
- Listing your link or a code on coupon or deal sites.
- Using your own link, or having members of your household use it on your behalf.
- Promoting your link through email or messages to people who did not ask for them.
9. Your complimentary subscription
Approval includes one year of Plus at no charge, so that what you write is about the product as your readers will find it. It does not renew, and nothing is charged when it ends.
10. Our name and logo
You may use the MangoDime name and the logo we send you to refer to the product. You may not alter the logo, or use either in a way that suggests we wrote or endorsed your content.
11. Ending this
Either of us may end this arrangement at any time by email. Commissions on sales made before it ended are still paid on the usual schedule. We may pause your link, and withhold commissions earned through a breach of sections 6, 7 or 8.
12. Changes
We may change these terms by emailing you at least 30 days before a change takes effect. Sales made before then are paid under the terms in force when they were made.
13. Relationship and taxes
You are an independent party. Nothing here makes you an employee, agent or partner in law of MangoDime, and you are responsible for your own taxes.
14. No promise of earnings
We make no promise about how many sales your link will produce.
