Signing in without a password

There is no password. You sign in with a one-time link emailed to you, or with Google — and the same link that signs you in creates your account the first time.
Enter your email on the sign-in page and we send a link. Clicking it signs you in on that device. The link expires shortly and works once, which is why a link from an old email won't do anything — ask for a fresh one.
There is no separate sign-up step. If we've never seen your email before, following the link creates the account then and there. Nothing about the flow changes.
If you built a plan before signing in, your browser held it, not our servers. The first time you sign in, that plan moves into your account. It moves once — after that your account is the copy that counts, and a plan left in another browser stays there.
Google sign-in is the same thing without the email step. Google tells us your email address and nothing else.
