What we store

With an account, we store your email address, the figures you enter, the results each time your plan is calculated and the balances you record over time.

Before you sign in, your plan lives in your own browser's storage. It never reaches us. Clearing your browser clears it, and we can't get it back. That's the trade-off for not making you sign up first.

Once you have an account, we store your email, every figure you've entered about your finances, and a history of your plan's results. Your plan is walled off in the database itself. The database checks every request against your account. So another user's request can't return your data, even if our own code made a mistake.

We also keep the messages you send us. If you ask us to run a scenario and share your plan, we keep a read-only copy until your question is closed, or for 90 days at most.

A few outside services run parts of MangoDime, such as hosting, email, error reports, page counts and payments. Session replay is off in error reports, and so is collecting what you type, so your entries don't end up in a bug report. /privacy lists each service and what it sees.

We never hold bank logins, because there's no bank linking to hold them for. We don't take uploaded documents, and we don't use advertising cookies.
